A month after officially rejoining Astralis and skipping their first tournament, Nicolai "device" Reedtz is set to return to the server.
Astralis have announced that device will play for the team in CCT North Europe Series 2 playoffs, starting on December 4. This will mark the AWPer's first official appearance following his return to the team and his first since he played his last match for Ninjas in Pyjamas at IEM Winter in December 2021.
The 27-year-old rejoined Astralis in late October in a widely anticipated move but did not end up playing in their first tournament following the signing, at Elisa Masters Espoo.
In Finland, the Danes used Astralis Talent member Kristoffer "Kristou" Aamand instead, citing a wish to "do things right without forcing anything" and "creating room for the best version of device."
Less than two weeks later, device is set to play in the ongoing $50,000 online tournament, for which Astralis received a direct playoffs invite alongside OG, GamerLegion, and HEET. The Swiss group stage of CCT North Europe Series 2 is currently underway, and the playoffs will follow on December 4-7.
Astralis' lineup in the CCT North Europe Series 2 playoffs will be:
Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander
Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
