The Electronic Sports League has announced it has moved up the European Continental Finals to January.
HLTV.org had already reported that the ESL was considering a new date for the competition, which was initially scheduled to take place in March during CeBIT.
The Counter-Strike and World of Warcraft European Continental Finals will now be held from January 14-17 at Passwort Cultra in Brühl, a city located 20 km south of Cologne. One week later, the Quake Live tournament will commence on the ESL TV studios.
Unlike what has happened in previous ESL events, the European Continental Finals, which will hand out $117,200, will not be open to the public. Still, HLTV.org will be on site, so stay tuned to our website for complete coverage.
